This is a board that recognizes expertise exclusively in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. 9. The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) - http://www.facial-plastic-surgery.org The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the world's largest specialty association. AAFPRS members are board certified surgeons whose focus is surgery of the face, head, and neck. AAFPRS members subscribe to a code of ethics. The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) - http://www.aaaasf.org This is the most common organization for accreditation of plastic surgeons' private surgical facilities. The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) is a voluntary program of inspection and accreditation in surgery facilities to ensure excellence and quality care to patients. It classes facilities according to their level of anesthesia care. A-rated facilities provide local anesthesia. B-rated facilities provide local and sedation anesthesia. C-rated facilities provide local, sedation, and general anesthesia. The A, B, and C ratings only apply to the AAAASF. 2. The American Association for Ambulatory HealthCare (AAAHC) - http://www.aaahc.org The AAAHC is a private, not-for-profit organization that was formed in 1979 to assist ambulatory health care organizations in improving the quality of care they provide to their patients.
